Beautyfull tracks by this former Eevolute artist. Funky
crispy percusion leading the nice strings with floating
melodies. Each track is a great piece of techno music in the
same vein as Chris Gray and John Tejada are taking their
productions lately... Allready getting great responce among
various techno jocks and magazines. A must have !!!!

Jetzt tun sie erst mal so als wären sie Lofi, aber dann, nach ein paar Takten ist klar, dass TechnoTourist ein Label der besonderen Art ist, dass klickernde Synthesizersounds mit einer historischen Deepness verbindet, die Sounds wieder zu dem macht, was man von ihnen immer erhofft hat: sie sprechen zu einem. Der Groove läuft trotzdem und kickt. Verwirrend verspielte Detroittracks mit grossen Momenten die sich präsentieren als wäre es die normalste Sache der Welt sich plötzlich wieder mitten am Anfang der 90er zu fühlen, und dennoch denken zu können, dass 2000 vielleicht auch schon damals vorbei war. Vier Tracks die die Fundamente von Techno wie nebenher aufwühlen. Unbedingt auch das Sublabel Ground Zero checken. Perfekte Platte. *****

The Technotourist 12" is on more of a pure, classical Detroit tip - lots of
square-wave bass and some smooth chords. Also features my favourite TV99AD
track - great to hear this finally on vinyl. If you like the more listenable
(rather than DJ friendly) sound (ie. old B12 etc.), this is a fantastic,
classic sounding 12".
